Brynna Barnica is an Arkansas attorney with extensive courtroom experience built through years of criminal law practice. Her legal background includes work as both a defense attorney and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. She has represented clients in difficult legal matters, handled complex litigation, and developed a strong reputation for determined advocacy and careful case preparation.

Brynna earned her undergraduate education as a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Arkansas. After completing her undergraduate degrees, she earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Arkansas School of Law where she was on the Dean’s List and served in a leadership role within the Health Law Student Organization.

Brynna was admitted to the bar in 2006 and started practicing law at a Rogers firm. During the early years of her career, she handled several areas of law including criminal law, divorce, and wills and estates. This broad experience helped her strengthen her litigation abilities and develop a practical understanding of client representation.

Brynna later joined the Benton County Public Defender’s Office where she spent more than four years handling criminal defense matters. Her responsibilities included negotiating cases, preparing legal arguments, and litigating criminal proceedings in court. Through this work, she gained substantial courtroom knowledge while advocating for individuals facing serious legal accusations and difficult circumstances.

Brynna continued serving the citizens of Benton County after transferring to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in 2011. In that position, she negotiated hundreds of criminal matters and secured numerous convictions. She also handled approximately 15 jury trials involving different criminal charges, including cases connected to homicide and other serious felony allegations.

Brynna spent nearly two years serving as Chief Deputy Prosecutor in Division Two, where she guided and supervised fellow prosecutors. Her commitment to thorough preparation and strong advocacy earned recognition from colleagues throughout her career. She also received the November 2022 Benton County Employee Recognition Award after being nominated by coworkers for her dedication and professional efforts.
