Bryn Poland is a dedicated estate planning and elder law attorney known for helping families manage complex legal matters with clarity and confidence. With deep experience in Medicaid planning, special needs trusts, guardianship, probate, and qualified settlement funds, she guides clients through important decisions that protect their loved ones. Bryn’s work focuses on making legal planning understandable, reducing stress, and creating long-term solutions for individuals with disabilities and their families.
Bryn earned her J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, where she served on the Washburn Law Journal and published two articles. She holds a B.S. in Journalism from Kansas State University and, before that, completed significant academic coursework there that helped shape her communication and advocacy skills.
Bryn began her career driven by a passion for helping families prepare for the future, especially those facing challenges related to disability and long-term care. After moving to Texas, she joined the law office of Pi-Yi Mayo in 2007. Her commitment, leadership, and growing expertise led to her becoming a partner and co-founder of Mayo & Poland, PLLC, in 2018. Throughout her career, she has assisted families in building firm estate plans, structuring special needs trusts, understanding Medicaid eligibility, and managing settlement funds. Her work ensures clients make informed choices and secure the resources needed for lifelong care.
Bryn Poland is an active member of the Texas Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, NAELA, Texas NAELA, the Special Needs Alliance, and the Society of Settlement Planners as a recognized leader in her field. She frequently speaks at continuing education programs for attorneys and trust officers, helping others better understand estate planning and disability-related legal strategies. Bryn continues to support families by offering clear guidance, practical planning, and strong advocacy in every matter she handles.
