Brian M. Mittman

Brian M. Mittman has spent his career standing up for people facing life-changing injuries and disabilities. He draws on years of real-world work experience to communicate clearly with clients and guide them through difficult legal systems. His practice focuses on workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, long-term disability, personal injury, and general litigation.

Brian built his academic foundation step by step. He first graduated from Upper Dublin High School as a National Merit Honor Society student. He then earned his B.A. in Political Science – Cum Laude from the University of Rochester in 1991. After that, he completed his J.D. – Cum Laude at Brooklyn Law School in 1994 as a Richardson Merit Scholar.

Brian has long been active in professional organizations. His service includes roles on the Board of Directors for the New York Workers Compensation Alliance and the Injured Workers’ Bar Association. He has also served with the Society of New York Workers’ Compensation Bar Association, the White Plains Bar Association, and the Justice Louis Brandis Legal Foundation, among others. In 2006, he was recognized as Attorney of the Year by the Institute for Jewish Humanities.

Brian contributes extensively to education and public outreach. He has written guides for injured and disabled workers and delivered programs on workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability for groups including Lawline, Lorman Education, and multiple bar associations. His presentations cover key issues such as permanent partial disability, federal disability claims, and updates on New York workers’ compensation law.

Brian M. Mittman remains committed to supporting his community and clients. He backs organizations such as Lifting Up Westchester, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial Scholarship, the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and the Tourette Association of the Hudson Valley.
