Brandon N. Smith is a partner at Dezenberg & Smith, P.C., in Huntsville, Alabama, focusing exclusively on consumer bankruptcy law. Since 2015, he has represented clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, helping individuals protect assets, discharge debt, and achieve a fresh financial start. Brandon earned his B.S. in Biology from Louisiana State University in 2012 before completing his J.D. at the University of Alabama School of Law in 2015. While in law school, he served as Articles Editor for the Journal of the Legal Profession, President of the Criminal Law Society, and a member of the Bench and Bar Society, developing leadership skills that continue to shape his practice.

After admission to the Alabama State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama in 2015, Brandon joined the Law Offices of G. John Dezenberg Jr., devoting his practice to bankruptcy law. In 2017, he became a partner at Dezenberg & Smith, P.C., where he continues to provide strategic, client-focused legal representation.
Brandon has successfully litigated numerous bankruptcy matters, including cases involving creditor disputes, lien avoidance, and repossession claims. His record includes securing favorable outcomes that protect clients’ homes, vehicles, and financial futures.

Brandon is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, and the Huntsville Bar Association. Active in the legal community, he has served on the board of the Young Lawyers’ Association since 2019.
