Brad J. Williams is a leading DUI and DWI defense attorney in Arkansas. He is the first and only lawyer in the state to earn Board Certification in DUI Defense from the National College for DUI Defense. He is also the first and only Arkansas attorney designated as an ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer Scientist by the American Chemical Society. Mr. Williams is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law (Little Rock, Arkansas), where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2004, and he further refined his advocacy skills through the Trial Practice Institute of the National Criminal Defense College at Mercer University School of Law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Economics from Hendrix College (Conway, Arkansas) in 2000. He has attended multiple Summer Sessions at Harvard Law School presented by the National College for DUI Defense. His coursework includes Mastering Scientific Evidence programs, forensic chromatography studies, solid dose drug analysis, forensic drug analysis, pharmacology and toxicology seminars, and intensive breath-testing certification programs. He regularly updates his forensic knowledge nationwide annually.
Mr. Williams has focused on the science behind DUI and drug cases throughout his career. He has completed the same standardized field sobriety testing, ARIDE, and Drug Recognition Expert overview courses given to law enforcement officers and instructors. He also holds certifications to operate and supervise breath testing devices, including the BAC Data Master and the Intoximeter EC/IR II. This training allows him to carefully examine laboratory procedures, calibration records, and officer conduct in every case. It strengthens courtroom defense strategy.
