Bonnie M. Boryca

Bonnie M. Boryca is a shareholder at Erickson Sederstrom who represents businesses, individuals, employers, and executives in litigation and workplace matters. She focuses her practice on employment law, complex commercial disputes, technology litigation, appellate work, and trust and estate conflicts. She advises employers and business owners on policies, investigations, grievances, ownership disputes, employment agreements, and separation arrangements. She also assists executives, directors, company officers, and federal employees with workplace claims, compensation, benefits, and negotiated resolutions.

Bonnie earned her undergraduate degree in English and philosophy from Creighton University. She received her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law. She served as an articles editor for the Kansas Law Review and received the school’s Best Oral Advocate award. She and her teammate placed second at the 2009 National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition. She graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif.

Bonnie appears before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa. She has argued before the Nebraska Supreme Court, Nebraska Court of Appeals, Kansas Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit, and Tenth Circuit. She was admitted in Kansas in 2010, Nebraska in 2012, Iowa in 2019, and two federal appellate courts. Her litigation experience includes trials, appeals, contract disputes, business ownership conflicts, employment claims, and strategic efforts to prevent disputes.

Bonnie M. Boryca serves as vice president of her firm’s Board of Directors and contributes to Nebraska’s legal community. She serves on the Nebraska Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Committee and the Nebraska State Bar Association House of Delegates. She is a Nebraska State Bar Foundation fellow and a contributing editor for the Upper Midwest Employment Law Letter. She has received recognition from Best Lawyers and Great Plains Rising Stars for her professional work.
