Ben T. Crockett

Ben T. Crockett is an attorney with O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong & Laing S.C. and a member of the firm’s Business and Real Estate, Land Use, and Construction Law groups. Crockett advises clients on real estate transactions, development projects, and local government matters. His work includes acquisitions, sales, leasing, zoning, permitting, land-use compliance, and the drafting and negotiation of agreements connected with real estate ownership and development.

Crockett earned a J.D. from Marquette University Law School and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. At Marquette, he also completed a Sports Law Certificate and served with the Marquette Sports Law Review. His education provided a foundation in transactional drafting, regulatory analysis, and legal research that supports his work on real estate, construction, development, and municipal issues requiring coordination among owners, businesses, governments, and other project participants.

Crockett’s experience includes work as a municipal attorney, which gives him insight into the public-law side of development and land-use matters. He assists clients with purchase and sale transactions, commercial leasing, development agreements, zoning and permitting, and compliance questions that can affect the timing and structure of a project. His practice helps clients identify legal requirements early, negotiate project documents, and address issues that arise with municipalities or other stakeholders.

Ben T. Crockett also serves on the board of the Hope Center, reflecting community involvement alongside his legal practice. He brings together transactional real estate work, land-use knowledge, construction experience, and prior municipal practice to help clients move projects forward. Crockett focuses on practical drafting and problem solving, helping businesses and property owners understand regulatory requirements, allocate risk, and structure agreements that support development and long-term real estate objectives.
