During law school, she served as a law intern for the Honorable Sidney M. Weaver, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Florida. Her early experience provided a deep understanding of the bankruptcy system and the life-changing relief it offers to those in financial distress.

Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992, Barbara is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Before establishing her own firm, she worked as a senior associate with Arthur Andersen LLP, representing a Federal Bankruptcy Trustee for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division.
