About

Avery N. Crossman is a Phoenix attorney who has practiced Arizona workers’ compensation law since 1994. Her work focuses on workplace injury claims and the legal issues that arise when employees seek benefits under the state’s workers’ compensation system. She brings long-term experience to disputes involving compensability, medical treatment, disability, and other claim issues. Her practice is dedicated to workers’ compensation rather than a broad general personal injury practice.

Crossman earned a J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1993, where she participated in law review and Phi Delta Phi. She received a B.A. from the University of Arizona in 1989. Her legal education provided a foundation for statutory analysis, legal writing, and advocacy, all of which are central to workers’ compensation matters involving administrative procedures, medical evidence, benefit disputes, and the interpretation of Arizona workers’ compensation law.

Crossman is a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law through the State Bar of Arizona. She has served as a co-chair of the State Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Section and has taught in professional programs addressing workers’ compensation and professionalism. She has also served as a Judge Pro Tempore in Arizona county, justice, and superior courts. These roles reflect substantial involvement with the legal system beyond day-to-day representation of injured workers.

Avery N. Crossman is a member of the Arizona Association of Lawyers for Injured Workers and has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. She has spoken at workers’ compensation seminars and remains focused on Arizona workplace injury law. Her combination of specialist certification, professional education, court service, and decades of practice supports clients facing benefit disputes and other issues within the workers’ compensation process from claim development through contested proceedings.
