About
Ariel Overstreet-Adkins founded Bluebird Law, PLLC in Billings, Montana, where she focuses on estate planning, asset protection, and estate and trust administration. She serves individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and agricultural clients across Montana. Her work also draws on experience with real estate, water, agriculture, and business matters. She uses an education-focused approach to help clients understand planning choices and the effect of those choices on their families.
Ariel earned a B.A. in Anthropology, with honors, from Princeton University and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Montana School of Law. During law school, she served on the Public Land and Resource Law Review and published in the Montana Law Review. She also worked with the Montana Water Court and received recognition for her clinical work in land use and natural resources.
Ariel clerked for U.S. District Judge Brian Morris and later practiced at Moulton Bellingham. Her experience there included a complex class action, a large ranch sale involving more than 300 water rights, agricultural disputes, and property litigation. Before law school, she worked in communications and government affairs for the Montana Stockgrowers Association. These experiences inform her planning work for rural clients and business owners.
Ariel Overstreet-Adkins has served on the Leadership Montana Board of Governors and the board of the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center. Her legal work combines estate planning with familiarity in agriculture and property rights. She helps clients prepare for future transitions, organize the administration of estates and trusts, and understand how legal documents can preserve their priorities over time.
