Ari Lichterman

Ari Lichterman is a Maryland employment lawyer at Luchansky Law who advises employers and organizations on workplace and business matters. His practice focuses on employment litigation, workplace disputes, contract negotiation, contract interpretation, and strategic counseling. Ari earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2010. He also earned his B.A. from Arizona State University in 2007. Ari previously served in the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, including as Deputy Chief in the Higher Education Division. In that role, he served as lead counsel on employment, civil rights, constitutional, and tort matters for Maryland public higher education institutions. He also represented the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services in procurements, contract negotiations, bid protests, civil rights litigation, tort claims, and administrative disputes.

Ari Lichterman also spent more than five years with the New York City Law Department, defending the New York City Police Department and other city agencies in federal civil rights litigation. He draws on extensive government and litigation experience to help employers manage workplace disputes, develop protective strategies, and resolve conflicts efficiently. Ari also writes on employment law topics, including restrictive covenants and litigation strategies.
