Annmarie P. Briones is a principal at Cohen and Wolf, P.C., where she focuses her practice on family law and dispute resolution. With extensive experience representing parties and children in divorce, custody, legal separation, and post-judgment matters, she provides compassionate, strategic guidance for families navigating highly personal and emotional legal challenges.

Annmarie earned her Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University in 1987 and her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 1995. Demonstrating a deep commitment to understanding family dynamics, she later completed a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University in 2019, where she received the Dean’s Award for Excellence. This unique academic background enhances her ability to advocate effectively for families.

Annmarie’s legal experience includes both bench and jury trials in family and civil litigation, as well as appellate advocacy before the Connecticut Appellate Court. She is also frequently appointed by the courts as Guardian ad Litem and Attorney for Minor Children. In addition, she represents parents and children in special education matters, serves as a mediator and co-parenting coordinator, and handles guardianship issues in probate court.

Dedicated to advancing the profession, Annmarie is a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, where she teaches trial skills to family court lawyers nationwide. Her work reflects both her commitment to legal excellence and her deep compassion for the families she represents.
