Admitted to the North Carolina bar that year, she developed a litigation practice supported by her background in political systems, dispute resolution, and legal advocacy.

Her experience includes contested matters in North Carolina District and Superior Courts, unemployment hearings involving benefit denials and overpayment appeals, and employment-related administrative proceedings. She also participates in EEO and EEOC mediations and represents clients before state and federal administrative bodies. As a family financial mediator, Anna helps parties address economic and custody-related disagreements outside court when a negotiated resolution is possible. Her employment work includes discrimination and retaliation concerns, severance agreements, and review of employment contracts or noncompete provisions.

Anna N. Westmoreland has been a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission Certified Family Financial Mediator since 2018 and completed Superior Court mediation training in 2015.
