About

Anita M. Kelley is an Albuquerque attorney who represents employees, federal workers, families, injured people, consumers, and small businesses. Her practice includes employment law, federal employee EEO matters, family law, personal injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, civil rights, property disputes, consumer issues, business contracts, and general litigation. She handles matters involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wages, leave, workplace accommodations, hearings, mediation, litigation, settlements, and trials.

Kelley earned a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, where her studies focused on creative writing, Latin American literature, and Spanish, and she studied abroad at Saint Louis University’s Madrid campus. She later earned a J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law. During law school, she received support from the Peggy Browning Fund for Labor Rights, interned with the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, and served as an editor of the New Mexico Law Review.

Kelley began her legal career in civil defense and spent six years working at Albuquerque law firms before opening her own practice in 2012. Her experience includes courtroom advocacy, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and written advocacy. She represents workers in EEOC and New Mexico Human Rights Bureau matters, handles federal-sector EEO cases, and works on family, injury, consumer, and other civil disputes when those matters fit her practice.

Anita M. Kelley is licensed in New Mexico state and federal courts and before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has represented clients before administrative forums including labor, unemployment, and professional licensing bodies. Her work combines trial experience, legal writing, negotiation, and an understanding of defense-side strategy gained early in her career. She focuses on giving individuals, employees, families, and small organizations practical representation across a broad range of disputes.
