About
Angela D. Giampolo is an attorney, entrepreneur, author, and the founder of Giampolo Law Group, which she formed in 2008 to serve the LGBTQ+ community. Her practice focuses on LGBTQ+ law, estate planning, family law, civil rights, and business law. The firm’s services include business formation, employment matters, estate planning, adoption and assisted reproduction, custody and child support, divorce, name changes, transgender law, immigration issues, and real estate-related legal matters.
Angela earned her Juris Doctorate from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she completed joint J.D./M.B.A. coursework, was inducted as a Fellow of the Rubin Public Interest Society, and earned a Certificate of Law in Chinese Law from Tsinghua University in Beijing. She completed undergraduate study at La Salle University with majors in Political Science and Psychology and minors in Women’s Studies and International Relations.
Angela previously worked with the Pennsylvania Office of General Counsel in Harrisburg, focusing mainly on the Corporations Bureau and Election Law Division. She also worked with the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda on prosecutions connected to the 1994 Rwandan genocide. These experiences add government, corporate-regulatory, election-law, and international criminal-law exposure to a later practice built around the legal needs of LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and businesses.
Angela Giampolo is active as a writer, speaker, and media contributor in addition to practicing law. She has written for Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia Gay News, and Law.com, presents on LGBTQ+ legal issues, and hosts a monthly iHeartMedia radio show called SpeakOUT. Her work combines legal representation with public education on issues affecting LGBTQ+ people, including family formation, estate planning, employment, business matters, civil rights, and identity-related legal needs.
