About
Andy Long is a Maryville trial attorney who represents clients in criminal defense and personal injury matters throughout East Tennessee. Andy handles criminal charges involving DUI, drug offenses, assault, homicide, robbery, kidnapping, theft-related conduct, public intoxication, and reckless driving. His civil practice includes car wrecks, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, product liability, traumatic injury, wrongful death, and other personal injury claims requiring litigation experience.
Andy earned a J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law after receiving a B.A. in History from Rhodes College. His legal education followed undergraduate study in Memphis and led to a career focused heavily on courtroom work. The combination of academic training and early prosecutorial experience provided a practical foundation for evaluating evidence, preparing witnesses, understanding criminal charging decisions, and developing trial strategies for clients facing significant legal problems.
Andy began practicing in Maryville before joining the Knox County District Attorney’s Office, where he became the lead DUI prosecutor. He returned to private practice in 1997 and later joined Costner Greene. His career has concentrated on trial work and litigation, including large matters in Knox County, Blount County, and surrounding counties. Former prosecutorial experience gives him direct insight into how criminal cases are investigated, charged, and presented.
Andy Long is admitted in Tennessee and belongs to the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Blount County Bar Association. His practice is built around careful listening, detailed preparation, and protecting clients’ rights in difficult circumstances. By combining prosecution experience with decades of defense and injury litigation, he brings practical courtroom judgment to criminal and civil cases.
