Andrew P. Taylor

Andrew P. Taylor is Of Counsel at Copeland Taylor Harpell, LLC, in the Wilmington area of Delaware. His practice centers on real estate law, and he serves as legal counsel to the Delaware Association of Realtors. After decades in practice, he no longer handles real estate settlements. His current professional work includes advising on real property issues, legislation, and matters affecting real estate professionals and the public.

Andrew earned a B.S. from the University of Delaware in 1979 and a J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law in 1982. He was admitted to practice in Delaware in 1982 and Pennsylvania in 1983, and is also admitted in federal courts. His education and legal experience support his work with Delaware real estate rules, industry regulation, and property rights.

He has served as an expert witness on real estate matters and contributed to drafting legislation addressing property disclosure, fair housing, brokerage liens, real estate agency relationships, and licensing. His work includes involvement with the Buyer Property Protection Act, the Delaware Fair Housing Act, and related real property statutes and regulations. He also serves as a Corporator and Director of Artisans’ Bank.

Andrew has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for real estate law for 1993 through 2025 and recognized by Delaware Today. He previously chaired sections of the Delaware State Bar Association and has participated in school and community organizations. Andrew P. Taylor brings extensive legislative, professional, and advisory experience to Delaware real estate law while no longer undertaking property settlements.
