Andrew M. Fleischman focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, corporate finance and lending, and general corporate law matters. He works with financial institutions, manufacturers, energy and coal mining companies, service-industry businesses, and entrepreneurs. His practice includes entity formation, debt and equity financing, business sales and acquisitions, leases, commercial contracts, and real estate acquisitions.
Andrew earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1997, where he served as articles editor for the Virginia Journal of International Law. He also earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994, with a major in music. His legal education and analytical training support his work on complex business transactions, financing matters, and corporate planning.
Andrew has handled a wide range of business and real estate matters. His representative work includes financing for a boutique hotel using tax credits and conventional bank financing, a private offering for a start-up distilling company, and a joint venture involving coal reserves in Western Kentucky. He has also worked on the acquisition of an underground coal mine, the sale of business entities, and the development, construction, and financing of a major arena project.
Andrew M. Fleischman is admitted to practice in Kentucky and is recognized as a Leading Kentucky Real Estate Lawyer by Chambers USA and as a Kentucky Super Lawyer. He previously served as chair of the Business Law and Real Estate Law sections of the Louisville Bar Association. He is also an author on secured transactions and real estate law, and clients value his thoughtful approach and ability to anticipate problems before they arise.
