Andrew Humphreys

Andrew Humphreys is Chief Litigation Counsel at Jonna Spilbor Law, where he handles complex civil litigation from case start through trial. His practice includes medical and dental malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, Social Security Disability, construction-site injury, motor-vehicle accidents, premises liability, and commercial litigation.

Andrew graduated from Hofstra Law School, now known as Maurice A. Deane School of Law, in 1990. He also earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of Scranton. His legal education and communication background support his clear case analysis, strong preparation, and effective advocacy in complex disputes.

Andrew has represented doctors, nurses, hospitals, and patients in complex litigation. His work includes medical and dental malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage issues, corporate contracts, and commercial litigation. This broad experience helps him understand claims from many sides and prepare cases with careful attention to detail.

Andrew also has significant experience with Social Security Disability matters. He has represented severely impaired claimants at approximately 110 hearings at SSA ODAR offices from Jericho to Syracuse, NY. His work has included helping claimants with complex psychiatric and physical disabilities prepare for important administrative hearings and proceedings.

Andrew reviews and interprets medical and psychiatric records, prepares claimants for hearings, and cross-examines medical and vocational witnesses. His work in disability claims requires patience, focus, and a strong understanding of the facts. He uses that preparation to present each client’s position clearly, fairly, carefully, and with purpose.

Andrew Humphreys’s litigation experience also includes negotiating and analyzing multi-million dollar contracts. His work has included contracts between a local municipality and cable provider, Verizon. This background adds depth to his civil practice and helps him address legal matters involving business terms, insurance questions, public entities, and complex agreements.
