Andrew G. Howayeck

Andrew G. Howayeck is a Senior Associate at DarrowEverett LLP and a member of the firm’s Banking & Financing Practice Group. He advises real estate investors, developers, private equity sponsors, joint ventures, borrowers, lenders, and investment funds on financing and complex real estate transactions. His work includes acquisition, development, construction, and recapitalization financings, as well as acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development across retail, multifamily, office, industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use properties.

Andrew earned a J.D. cum laude from Roger Williams University Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from Stonehill College. During law school, he participated in Law Review, moot court, and the trial team, and his article on the major questions doctrine was selected for publication in the Roger Williams Law Review. He also served as an extern for a Rhode Island Supreme Court justice, strengthening his legal research, writing, and analytical experience.

Andrew previously clerked for Justices Francis X. Flaherty and Melissa A. Long of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. In practice, he has worked on multi-state commercial real estate portfolio acquisitions, credit facilities, due diligence, acquisition documents, and financing structures. His representative work includes transactions involving portfolios with dozens of properties across multiple states and US financing aspects of a commercial aircraft acquisition for a private investment firm.

Andrew G. Howayeck has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch and has received a Professional Excellence in Law award from Rhode Island Monthly. He is admitted in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
