Andrew Cobos

Andrew Cobos is the founder of The Cobos Law Firm, a Houston personal injury practice. He represents clients in car and 18-wheeler truck accidents, industrial accidents and explosions, oil rig and maritime injuries, wrongful death, and mass tort claims. His work also involves bad faith insurance matters and veterans’ disability cases. A former U.S. Army officer, he draws on experience managing complex operations while pursuing claims involving serious injuries and disputed responsibility.

Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He later completed both a J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center and an M.B.A. at the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business, finishing the dual-degree course of study in three years. His legal and business education followed military service and provided preparation for litigation, business decisions, and the demands of operating a plaintiff-side law practice.

Andrew served as an Army lieutenant and completed two combat deployments to Iraq. He conducted security operations, supervised police training, and received the Bronze Star Medal. Following law school, he practiced at major firms and participated in cases that secured substantial recoveries for clients. He founded his own practice in 2019. His present work involves serious injury claims, including accidents involving heavy trucks, industrial facilities, maritime operations, and allegedly defective products.

Andrew Cobos was named a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star and has received community leadership honors. He served on the University of Houston System Board of Regents after a 2011 appointment and was appointed to the Texas Veterans Land Board in 2015. These roles add public service experience to his military and legal background. In representing injured people, he combines litigation preparation with an understanding of the significant personal and financial issues that may follow an accident.
