Anders W. Lindberg

Anders W. Lindberg is Chair of the Litigation Department and a member of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC in Huntington, West Virginia. He leads the firm’s Long-Term Care Team and handles complex civil and commercial litigation, including high-value disputes and cases arising from catastrophic accidents. His practice further includes professional liability defense, employment litigation, general litigation, and matters for health systems, manufacturers, and long-term care providers.

Lindberg earned a J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law and a B.A. from Marshall University. At Marshall, he was a Presidential and Herndon Scholar and was named Student of the Year by the Psychology Department. His education supports a litigation practice involving detailed factual records, business considerations, employment issues, professional liability claims, and strategic management of significant civil disputes.

Lindberg has more than twenty-five years of experience handling employment, medical professional liability, and business litigation. He has won jury verdicts for physicians and medical providers, represented employers in discrimination and wrongful termination disputes, and handled litigation involving a major construction project. His representative matters also include long-term care wrongful death cases, deliberate intent claims, real estate disputes, arbitration proceedings, and appellate litigation involving COVID-19 immunity issues.
