Ana-Maria Popp

Ana-Maria Popp is a trial attorney and Managing Partner at Cairncross & Hempelmann. She focuses on complex business disputes and litigation strategy. Her practice includes construction litigation, real estate litigation, corporate disputes, and insurance coverage matters, representing clients through every stage from risk review to trial.

Ana-Maria earned a B.A. from the University of Washington in 2004. She later received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2007. Her education provided a strong legal foundation that supports her work in complex litigation and dispute resolution.

Ana-Maria represents clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery, settlement strategy, and trial. She has successfully presented civil cases before juries, judges, and arbitrators. Her approach is based on deep legal knowledge, clear strategy, and careful evaluation of risks, goals, and likely outcomes.

Ana-Maria served as Chair of the firm’s Litigation Group from 2017 to 2023. In that role, she led efforts in mentoring, recruiting, and diversity initiatives. In 2024, she became Managing Partner, overseeing daily operations, including administrative, financial, and business development functions.

Ana-Maria is active in leading legal organizations and community efforts. She is a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She has also served on the board of the Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association of Seattle.

Ana-Maria’s honors include recognition by Chambers USA in Litigation: General Commercial since 2024. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation and Real Estate Law. She has also been named to Super Lawyers® and recognized as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Washington.
