Amy J. Benjamin, Of Counsel at Stein IP LLC, focuses her practice on trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and IP licensing. With decades of experience, she advises clients on complex litigation, portfolio management, advertising law, and domain disputes. Her work spans both U.S. and international intellectual property matters.

Amy earned her B.A. cum laude in American Studies from Brandeis University and her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a Fellow in Libel Law. She is admitted to practice in New York and multiple federal courts, including the Second and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Amy has an extensive litigation background, handling federal court trials, TTAB proceedings, and appeals in high-stakes IP matters. She regularly manages large trademark portfolios and provides clearance opinions, counseling, and enforcement strategies for domestic and international clients.

Amy’s professional journey includes roles at Skadden, Arps, and Darby & Darby, where she advanced from associate to partner. In 2009, she founded Benjamin Law PC to serve clients in all IP areas except patent prosecution, offering strategic legal solutions and personalized service.

Amy is an active member of multiple bar and industry associations, including the ABA, NYIPLA, and INTA. She has held leadership roles and authored an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in MGM Studios v. Grokster on behalf of the AIPLA, underscoring her thought leadership in the IP field.

Recognized as a New York Super Lawyer and featured in Who’s Who, Amy J. Benjamin frequently writes and speaks on IP topics. Her litigation record includes landmark cases such as P&G v. Colgate-Palmolive and In re Boston Beer Co., highlighting her influence on the development of trademark and copyright law.
