About
Amanda DuBois is the founding partner of DuBois Levias Law Group PLLC, a Seattle law firm focused on family law. She founded her practice in 1995 and represents clients in divorce, mediation, custody, and financial disputes. Her work includes contested and high-conflict divorces, particularly where a family owns a business or significant property. She helps individuals consider the legal, practical, and financial consequences of separation and disputed parenting arrangements.
Amanda received her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University. Before becoming an attorney, she worked as a high-risk labor and delivery nurse at the University of Washington. Her background in health care informs the way she works with people experiencing stressful transitions. Her legal and professional education also supports a focus on communication, problem-solving, and the financial questions that arise in divorce.
Amanda handles both negotiated and contested divorces and regularly takes difficult family law cases to trial in King County. She works with business owners and professionals on business valuation, separate property questions, property division, and spousal support. She also provides family law mediation. Her experience as a law firm owner contributes to her understanding of how business interests and personal finances can become closely connected during marital dissolution.
Amanda DuBois founded the Civil Survival Project, an initiative supporting people facing barriers after incarceration, and has participated in several community and legal-service organizations. She has served on the Washington State Association for Justice Board of Governors and received recognition for philanthropic leadership from Washington legal organizations. Her family law practice combines litigation and mediation with attention to clients’ financial circumstances and long-term goals after separation.
