Ali Garmey Chardon has built her career on an unwavering belief in justice and accountability. Ali earned her Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in 2003 before pursuing her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, at Northwestern University School of Law in 2008. While in law school, she was part of the mock trial team and won a national competition.
Ali’s legal path began with corporate defense, where she gained insight into the strategies of Fortune 500 companies. She later shifted her focus toward advocating for plaintiffs, using her background to strengthen her trial work. Over the years, she has secured victories, including a $700,000 verdict from a Bangor jury in 2023 and a $500,000 verdict from a Lewiston jury in 2022. In 2021, she won a $700,000 verdict against a Chicago school district on behalf of three young women, and in 2022, she achieved an $8 million settlement in a medical malpractice case involving child abuse failures.
Ali is admitted to practice in Maine, Illinois, and multiple federal courts, including the First and Seventh Circuits. She has served in leadership roles such as Chair of the Women’s Section of the Maine Bar Association and on the Board of Governors of the Maine Trial Lawyer’s Association. Her work has earned recognition from SuperLawyers, Best of the Bar, and National Trial Lawyers.
