Alexandria MacMaster

Alexandria MacMaster is a partner at Laffey Bucci D’Andrea Reich & Ryan who represents survivors of sexual abuse, child abuse, human trafficking, and systemic civil-rights violations. Her practice includes personal injury, sexual assault, school and clergy abuse, Title IX matters, defamation, wrongful death, crime-victim cases, and other civil claims involving serious harm. She handles high-stakes litigation against individuals, public entities, and private organizations connected to alleged abuse, exploitation, or misconduct.

Alex earned a Juris Doctor from Widener University and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College. She is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and admitted to federal courts in both states. Her education supports a litigation practice that requires careful factual development, trauma-informed client communication, legal research, and courtroom advocacy. She has represented survivors in state and federal matters in multiple jurisdictions beyond Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Alex previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and became Captain of its Family Protection Unit. She investigated and prosecuted matters involving sexual assault, child abuse, child pornography, and domestic violence. She brought numerous jury and bench trials to verdict, including cases involving homicide, sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, white-collar crime, firearms, and narcotics, before moving into civil representation of survivors.

Alexandria MacMaster frequently presents continuing legal education programs for other lawyers on trauma-informed advocacy and emerging issues in sexual-abuse litigation. Her professional memberships include organizations focused on trial advocacy and crime victims. Her background as a prosecutor and civil trial lawyer gives her experience examining evidence, preparing witnesses, trying serious cases, and anticipating defense strategies, all of which informs her current work for survivors pursuing civil accountability and compensation.
