Alexa Stovsky is an Ohio immigration attorney who advises individuals, families, and businesses on US immigration matters. She handles adjustment of status, family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, citizenship, changes of status, business immigration, federal agency matters, and writs of mandamus. She also assists clients with required immigration documentation. Her practice focuses on helping people and organizations understand immigration procedures, evaluate available options, and move their cases forward through complex administrative requirements.

Alexa earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and her B.S. in Advertising, summa cum laude, from Syracuse University. She also completed minors in Spanish, Psychology, and Women’s and Gender Studies and holds a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification. She developed Spanish fluency while studying in Madrid. Her legal education included focused immigration coursework and practical experience addressing immigration matters through clinics and government placements.

Alexa gained immigration experience as a legal intern with the Executive Office for Immigration Review at the Cleveland Immigration Court, where she assisted immigration judges with judicial decisions. Her prior work includes legal roles with Equality Ohio, The Costas Network Law Center, and a criminal defense practice, giving her experience across advocacy and client-service settings.

Alexa Stovsky is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Ohio and is a member of the Federal Bar Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association. She has also contributed to immigration, human rights, and community-focused work through professional and volunteer roles. Her published work includes a 2023 Yemen Accountability Project article addressing cultural property destruction.
