Alex Norlander

Alex Norlander is special counsel at Welborn Sullivan Meck and Tooley, P.C. in Denver, Colorado. He represents institutional investors, developers, landlords, and tenants in commercial real estate transactions. His practice spans retail, office, industrial, and multifamily properties and includes development, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing. He advises throughout a property’s lifecycle, addressing how transaction terms fit the client’s investment plans and continuing use of the property.

Alex earned a B.S. in Finance from Miami University in Ohio in 2009 and a J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2013. His law school distinctions included Dean’s List honors and scholarships, and he was Executive Business Editor of The Journal of Computer and Information Law Review. His financial studies support the business analysis that accompanies property acquisitions, financing, and investment transactions.

Alex’s experience includes representing The Cable Center in the $19.5 million sale of its building and an investment management firm in the disposition of a $100 million industrial portfolio. He has also advised energy developers on landowner negotiations and national restaurant businesses on expansion transactions. These projects involve different property uses and transaction structures, requiring attention to both the legal documents and the commercial purpose of the deal.
