Alex M. Mooradian

Alex M. Mooradian is a skilled immigration attorney serving the Worcester, Massachusetts, area. As a partner at Kneeland Gribouski & Mooradian, he has been advocating for clients since becoming licensed in 2015. He earned his law degree from Boston University School of Law, where he was honored as an Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar. His undergraduate education was completed at Northeastern University, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Alex’s practice focuses exclusively on immigration law. He represents clients facing deportation proceedings, including immigrant youth, asylum seekers, refugees, and crime victims. His work also includes assisting individuals with applications for immigration benefits, such as naturalization, family-based visas, status adjustments, and relief under the Violence Against Women Act. He has experience in handling U and T visa petitions, as well as appeals before immigration authorities like the Administrative Appeals Office and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Throughout his career, Alex has handled complex legal matters as lead counsel. His casework includes prolonged immigration detention cases, post-conviction relief for immigrants, asylum claims based on gender or political grounds, and defense against unfounded gang allegations. His advocacy has taken him to various courts across Massachusetts, including immigration courts, district and superior courts, and federal courts.

Beyond his legal practice, Alex is a dedicated advocate for community empowerment and access to justice. He serves as Board Chair of RISE for Health, a nonprofit expanding healthcare access for refugees and newcomers, and leads ONE Worcester (Organization for Nonprofit Excellence), which delivers strategic consulting for local nonprofits. Alex is an active member of the Ascentria Care Alliance pro bono panel and mentors law students through the Boston University Immigrants’ Rights and Human Trafficking Program. He also advises organizations on immigration policy and frequently delivers trainings, workshops, and presentations on immigration law and related human rights issues.

In recognition of his efforts, Alex was awarded Boston University School of Law’s Public Interest Alumni Award in 2021. His work has consistently focused on advocating for the rights of immigrants and underserved communities, showcasing his unwavering dedication to justice and professional excellence.
