About
Alesia Strand is a workers’ compensation attorney at Beedem Law whose current practice focuses on long-term disability, ERISA, and FELA matters. She represents disabled individuals through short- and long-term disability claims and continues to work with injury clients. Earlier in her career, she represented injured railroad workers across the country and handled Minnesota workers’ compensation claims. Her practice is centered on helping individuals challenge benefit denials, pursue disability rights, and address the financial impact of injury or disability.
Strand earned a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 2003 and a B.A. cum laude from Saint Cloud State University in 2000, majoring in criminal justice and sociology. Her education preceded Minnesota bar admission in 2003. She is also admitted in federal courts in Minnesota, North Dakota, and the Western District of Wisconsin. Her legal training supports a practice involving federal benefit law, disability insurance claims, railroad injury matters, and related disputes over eligibility and benefits.
Strand began working in the legal field at nineteen with a firm representing injured railroad workers. As an attorney, she continued representing railroad workers and injured employees before shifting much of her practice toward disability claims. Today, the majority of her work involves disabled individuals at all stages of short- and long-term disability matters. She has presented continuing legal education programs nationally and locally on short- and long-term disability issues, reflecting sustained professional focus in this area.
Alesia Strand belongs to the Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota Association for Justice, American Association for Justice, and American Bar Association. Her practice combines long-term disability, ERISA, and FELA representation with experience in workers’ compensation and injury claims. Her work requires close attention to medical records, benefit terms, federal requirements, and evidence supporting disability or injury claims. She continues to represent individuals seeking benefits and compensation in disputes that affect financial security and the ability to work.
