Alan Brutman

Alan Brutman is President and Co-Founder of Judicate West, an alternative dispute resolution provider serving clients throughout California. He has more than three decades of experience in private dispute resolution services and has helped shape Judicate West’s growth as a mediation-focused ADR organization. Mr. Brutman’s work supports attorneys, clients, and neutrals who rely on structured, professional dispute resolution services in mediation, arbitration, private judging, appellate services, and related ADR matters.

Alan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He began his career in commercial real estate before moving to California in the early 1990s and joining Judicate, Inc. His business background provided a foundation in client service, relationship development, organizational building, and practical problem-solving. This experience later supported his role in co-founding Judicate West and developing a client-centered model for private dispute resolution.

Alan has remained involved in many aspects of Judicate West’s operations, including marketing, business development, case consultation, and quality control. His leadership has helped the organization expand across California with offices in Santa Ana, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, and Oakland. Through this work, he supports a large roster of neutrals and helps maintain systems that serve legal professionals and parties seeking efficient dispute resolution.

Alan Brutman is known for leadership grounded in relationships, integrity, teamwork, listening, and service to the legal community. Under his guidance, Judicate West has grown into a statewide ADR provider with more than 125 neutrals and more than 80 employees. He also remains active in community service, including serving on the boards of Project Youth OC and the Orange County Alzheimer’s Association. Through his work, Mr. Brutman continues to support practical, professional, and client-focused dispute resolution across California.
