Alan Blankenheimer is Senior Counsel in the Los Angeles office of his firm, bringing decades of experience in intellectual property, patent litigation, and antitrust disputes. His expertise is particularly valued in the semiconductor, computer hardware, and software industries, where he has successfully represented leading technology companies, including Maxim Integrated Products, Microchip Technology, Azul Systems, and Cypress Semiconductor.
Mr. Blankenheimer earned his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School in 1976, graduating cum laude and serving as Articles Editor for the University of Chicago Law Review. He also holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University, where he graduated with high honors. After completing law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Irving L. Goldberg of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where he gained critical judicial experience that continues to inform his litigation strategies.
With a deep focus on patent litigation, ITC Section 337 investigations, and intellectual property disputes, Mr. Blankenheimer has successfully handled high-profile cases involving wireless communication systems, semiconductor manufacturing, and fiber optic components. His work includes representing SK hynix, Peregrine Semiconductor, and Hewlett-Packard in multi-patent litigation and infringement claims. His ability to navigate complex technical and legal issues has made him a sought-after attorney in technology.
