Alan Abergel

Alan Abergel is a highly experienced Dallas-based business lawyer with a corporate, tax, and real estate law practice. He brings a unique perspective to legal counsel, having previously engaged in international and domestic business ventures across finance, logistics, and management, giving him firsthand insight into clients’ operational challenges.

Mr. Abergel earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he focused on corporate, real estate, and financial markets law. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Mass Communications from Towson University and also holds a tax advising and accounting certificate from Ramat-Gan College, enhancing his financial and tax law acumen.

Mr. Abergel brings big-firm and boutique law experience from Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. His practice spans civil litigation, intellectual property, bankruptcy, securities, and business law, giving clients comprehensive legal support and a strategic advantage in navigating complex legal disputes and transactions.

As former in-house counsel for a Los Angeles-based real estate development and private equity firm, Mr. Abergel led M&A transactions, corporate structuring, debt and equity financing, real estate development, and international transactions. This experience solidified his ability to manage multifaceted legal deals and deliver practical, business-minded solutions.

Mr. Abergel is admitted to practice in Texas and California and is licensed in multiple federal courts. He maintains active membership in several legal associations, including the Dallas Bar Association and the American Bar Association, where he contributes to business law, mergers and acquisitions, and financial services committees.
