About
Adam Tisdell is the owner and managing partner of Tisdell Law Firm, where his practice is dedicated exclusively to marijuana defense and federal drug crimes. A nationally recognized advocate for reform and justice, Adam has built a multistate firm with offices in Texas and Colorado, uniting a network of attorneys committed to protecting the rights of individuals accused of marijuana-related offenses. His mission is rooted in a deep understanding of the legal, political, and social challenges surrounding the end of marijuana prohibition.
Adam earned his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and his B.A., summa cum laude, in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Before founding his own firm, he served as the felony public defender for the 69th Judicial District and co-founded Blackburn & Tisdell, L.L.P., where he handled all aspects of criminal defense. His experience as a U.S. Marine instilled the discipline, courage, and resolve that continue to define his legal advocacy today.
Licensed to practice in Texas, Colorado, and Oregon, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas and the District of Colorado, Adam represents clients across multiple jurisdictions. His expertise and leadership have earned him recognition by Super Lawyers for Cannabis Law three years in a row—the only Texas criminal defense attorney to hold that distinction.
Adam Tisdell is a lifetime member of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also holds the distinguished Lawyer-Scientist designation from the American Chemical Society. Through his work, Adam continues to champion fairness, education, and reform in marijuana and drug-related legal defense.
