About
Adam Kinkley is an associate in Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s Business and Commercial Disputes group in Denver, Colorado. He represents clients in business disputes and litigation matters. His background includes federal antitrust investigations and appellate court clerkships. Those experiences bring together trial preparation, regulatory enforcement, and appellate analysis, providing different perspectives on how a business dispute develops and how legal arguments are considered by a court.
Adam earned a B.A. in Finance & Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Washington in 2016 and a J.D. from Yale Law School in 2021. At Yale, he was Notes & Comments Editor for the Yale Law Journal and Submissions Editor for the Yale Law & Policy Review. His academic work combined financial study with legal research, editing, and the examination of public policy.
Adam served as an Honors Program Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, managing aspects of major investigations and litigation. He also clerked for Judge Carlos F. Lucero on the Tenth Circuit and Judge Mark J. Bennett on the Ninth Circuit. Before law school, he worked as a business analyst at a major consulting firm, adding commercial experience to his later litigation and government work.
Adam Kinkley participated in Yale’s Environmental Protection & Housing Clinics and volunteered with the Temporary Restraining Order Project and the Marshall-Brennen Constitutional Literacy Project. This background reflects supervised legal work and public service alongside his academic responsibilities. His current practice draws on business analysis, federal investigations, and judicial clerkships to examine commercial disputes, with attention to the underlying business context and the legal questions presented in litigation.
