Adam D. Block

Adam D. Block is a respected real estate lawyer and partner at Gallagher LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Business Transactions Group, where he advises developers, property owners, and investors on a wide range of real estate matters. With more than a decade of legal experience, he has guided clients through property acquisitions, development projects, financing arrangements, leasing transactions, and property dispositions. His work also includes helping businesses establish legal entities and supporting the creation of condominium and homeowner associations. Through his legal knowledge and practical approach, he helps clients successfully manage complex real estate projects from start to finish.

Adam earned a B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire in 2001. He later received an M.S. from the University of Michigan in 2004. He continued his studies at the University of Maryland School of Law, where he earned his J.D., cum laude, in 2012. His combination of academic achievement and professional training has provided a solid foundation for his work in real estate and business law.

Adam has represented clients in significant real estate developments and financing transactions throughout his career. He has worked on large mixed-use projects, affordable housing developments, and major waterfront redevelopment initiatives. His experience includes handling construction loans, permanent financing, tax credit programs, and other funding structures that support large-scale development efforts. By helping clients navigate legal and financial challenges, he contributes to projects that create housing, commercial opportunities, and community growth.

Adam D. Block served as Deputy General Counsel at The Cordish Companies and worked with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources on land acquisition matters before joining private practice.
