Abigail Stempson

Abigail Stempson is Special Counsel at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP in Washington, DC. Her practice focuses on state attorneys general investigations, AG priorities, and consumer protection compliance lawsuits and disputes. She provides proactive advice and defensive counseling, including responses to enforcement actions and investigative requests. Her work helps companies and trade associations consider regulatory concerns before a matter develops and address those concerns when an investigation is underway.

Stempson earned a J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting Emphasis, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She also taught as an adjunct professor at the university’s College of Business from 2004 through 2017. Stempson previously directed the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute’s Center for Consumer Protection.
