Abigail Green

Abigail Green is a partner at Kellner Green, PLLC in Louisville, Kentucky, where she concentrates on divorce and custody litigation. She represents clients in high-conflict custody and parenting disputes as well as family-law matters involving complex financial issues. Abigail is also an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers certified mediator, allowing her to work with parties who want to resolve disputes through negotiated solutions rather than continued courtroom litigation.

Abigail earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2009 after receiving a B.A. in Psychology from DePauw University in 2006. Her legal education and psychology background support a practice that regularly involves contested family relationships, detailed factual records, and emotionally difficult decisions. She is admitted in Kentucky and continues to develop her family-law knowledge through professional organizations and ongoing involvement in the Louisville legal community.

Before entering private family-law practice, Abigail worked as a staff attorney with the Louisville Metro Public Defender. She represented more than one thousand adult and juvenile indigent defendants in felony, misdemeanor, DUI, traffic, status-offense, and contempt matters. She appeared throughout Jefferson District, Circuit, and Family courts and served as lead counsel in jury and bench trials. That courtroom background now informs her approach to contested divorce and custody matters, evidence, negotiation, and trial preparation.

Abigail Green is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has served in leadership roles with the Louisville Bar Association Family Law Section. She has also represented abused and neglected children through court appointments. Her practice combines substantial litigation experience with mediation training, giving clients options for both contested and negotiated resolution. She focuses on helping families address custody, parenting, financial, and divorce issues with careful preparation and practical legal guidance.
