Aaron Drake

Aaron Drake is a VA-accredited attorney and the owner of The Veteran’s Advocate, PC. His private practice focuses exclusively on veterans and military law, including VA disability appeals, petitions before Boards for Correction of Military Records, security-clearance adjudications, and federal benefits issues arising in divorce. He represents veterans and service members in Utah and nationwide, drawing on extensive military legal experience as a judge advocate.

Drake earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, graduating in the top five percent and earning Order of the Coif recognition. He served as Solicitations Editor of the BYU Education and Law Journal and received the J. Reuben Clark Award. He earned a B.S. magna cum laude in Spanish from Weber State University.

Drake has served in senior legal roles with the Utah National Guard and Utah Air National Guard, including as State Judge Advocate and as Chief Counsel and Staff Judge Advocate. Earlier in his Air Force career, he worked as a prosecutor, chief labor counsel, and deployed rule-of-law coordinator in Baghdad. He also served as an assistant professor of law at the US Air Force Academy.

His background gives him direct familiarity with military administrative systems, service records, disability claims, and security issues.
