A. Rob Weaver

A. Rob Weaver is a member of The Brickell IP Group, a registered patent attorney, and a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property Law. His practice is devoted to intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, licensing disputes, restrictive covenants, unfair competition, and false advertising. He represents clients in federal and state courts and in administrative proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Weaver graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Miami. In law school, he served as president of the Intellectual Property Law Society and vice president of the Society of Bar & Gavel. He received Dean’s List recognition, earned honors in the Litigation Skills Program, and was a finalist in the school’s negotiation competition. His engineering background supports technology-focused patent work.

Weaver has led intellectual property litigation across a wide range of issues and has appeared in matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He advises clients on international IP protection, prepares and prosecutes patent applications, manages patent and trademark portfolios, addresses licensing questions, and conducts due diligence reviews. His portfolio work has involved industries including medical devices, cryptocurrency, cosmetics, fashion, utilities, insurance, and automotive accessories.

A. Rob Weaver previously practiced in the intellectual property department of an Am Law 100 firm and at a nationwide IP boutique before joining The Brickell IP Group. His earlier work included high-stakes patent litigation and matters leading to precedential Federal Circuit decisions. He began his career as an intern with the University of Miami Technology Transfer Office. That combination of litigation, engineering, prosecution, and portfolio experience supports clients seeking to protect and enforce valuable intellectual property.
