About

A.C. Estacio-Heilich is an Associate in Ballard Spahr’s Portland office whose practice focuses on labor and employment matters. She defends employers in discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, leaves of absence, disability accommodation, and wrongful termination cases. She represents employers of different sizes in state and federal court and also provides preventive counseling on workplace issues, including employee handbook review, investigations, management training, and day-to-day employment compliance concerns.

Estacio-Heilich earned a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School and a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her legal training supports a practice that combines litigation, counseling, investigations, and compliance work. She previously represented employees in employment litigation, giving her experience with disputes from different perspectives. That background helps her evaluate claims, identify practical risks, prepare litigation strategy, and advise employers on steps designed to reduce workplace problems before they become larger disputes.

Estacio-Heilich handles employment litigation in state and federal court while also advising employers on handbooks, workplace investigations, disability accommodation, leaves, wage and hour compliance, and management training. Her work includes helping organizations respond to legal claims and improve employment practices before litigation develops. The combination of defense work and prior employee-side experience gives her practical insight into how workplace disputes arise, how opposing positions are framed, and how employers can approach resolution and compliance decisions.

A.C. Estacio-Heilich is active in the Multnomah Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and has held leadership roles within that organization. She has received recognition in labor and employment litigation and has served with Oregon defense and Filipino American legal organizations. She is admitted in Oregon and before the US District Court of Oregon. Her practice combines courtroom advocacy with practical workplace counseling, helping employers address disputes, investigations, policies, and changing employment-law obligations.
