Francis “Frank” Spagnoletti

Francis “Frank” Spagnoletti is an of counsel attorney at Spagnoletti Law Firm, with more than 40 years of experience in litigation and arbitration. His practice focuses on maritime law, tort claims, insurance disputes, commercial conflicts, and environmental litigation. He has represented clients in matters involving offshore construction, vessels, drilling rigs, platforms, products liability, white-collar criminal allegations, civil RICO claims, and complex business disputes.

Mr. Spagnoletti earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1979. He completed his LL.M. in International and Maritime Law at the University of London in 1980. His advanced legal studies provided a foundation for a career involving maritime operations, international disputes, insurance matters, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Spagnoletti began his career at Vinson & Elkins, after completing his legal education. He became a partner in 1986 and practiced primarily in maritime and international litigation. In 1990, he opened his own practice and continued working as a trial attorney across several demanding areas of civil and commercial law.

Mr. Spagnoletti represents clients in litigation and arbitration involving insurance coverage, defective products, offshore projects, vessel operations, environmental concerns, and business relationships. His experience allows him to address disputes involving technical evidence, multiple parties, substantial financial exposure, and overlapping legal issues. He prepares matters for negotiation, arbitration, or trial according to the facts and risks involved.

Francis “Frank” Spagnoletti is admitted to practice in Texas and Connecticut. He is a Proctor in Admiralty and a member of the Maritime Law Association. He has lectured at market seminars in the London insurance market on maritime and insurance topics. His professional background combines courtroom experience, maritime knowledge, and an understanding of high-stakes disputes affecting businesses, insurers, vessel interests, and individuals.
