About Midwest Ag Law

Midwest Ag Law is an agriculture-focused law firm serving farmers, ranchers, agricultural businesses, and rural families across Nebraska and Minnesota. When your family’s land, business, and legacy are on the line, you need more than a lawyer who knows the law. You need one who understands the life behind it.

Midwest Ag Law provides practical legal guidance for agricultural families, helping protect farmland, structure business transitions, and preserve generational legacies through strategic planning. Kole Pederson is the founder of Midwest Ag Law, where he helps farmers, ranchers, agricultural businesses, and rural families protect what they have built and pass it on with confidence. Licensed in Nebraska and Minnesota, Kole focuses his practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration, business law, real estate matters, and farm succession planning.

Midwest Ag Law was built on firsthand agricultural experience and a commitment to serving the farming community with practical, real-world legal solutions. What makes attorney Kole different is that agriculture is not just his practice area. It is his background. He grew up on a large family farm, worked in precision agriculture, and continues to serve the ag industry as an aerial applicator. That firsthand experience gives him a practical understanding of the pressures farm families face, from preserving land and minimizing conflict to structuring transitions that actually work in the real world.

Midwest Ag Law reflects the values of the agricultural families it represents, focusing on resilience, long-term planning, and protecting farms for the next generation. Kole’s path to law was shaped by hardship and resilience. After surviving a serious plane crash during his career as a spray pilot, he turned his focus toward serving agriculture in a new way. He earned both his Juris Doctor and MBA from Drake University, along with certificates in business law and agricultural law, and built Midwest Ag Law to serve the people and industry he knows best.

Midwest Ag Law continues to support agricultural clients with straightforward legal guidance designed to protect families, farmland, and farm businesses. Today, Kole is known for a straightforward, relationship-driven approach that combines legal knowledge with real agricultural insight. He helps clients create practical plans that protect families, preserve operations, and bring clarity to some of life’s most important decisions.
